I sell everything except the stuff that is used to craft ammo/health potions. Once you've upgraded everything in the crafting section and have bought all the best weapons, there's no point in keeping the other loot you get from killing enemies.Same. Plus you can buy all machine parts in meridian so there's no need to keep any hearts/ lenses
I also sell blue + green modifications because they are not as good as purple.
