Maybe not.  Bethesda seems happy to capitalize on Skyrim yet.
I think it is still a few years off.

Well Fallout hasn't always been developed by the regular team.  
3 was by BGS, and then New Vegas was by Obsidian the year later.

I didn't see the Kotaku article.  
New game that takes the series in a new direction. Apparently.  

So some kind of Fallout New Vegas situation seems pretty likely.  
I'm keeping expectations low though.
