Title: JJ Abrams to direct Star Wars 9

Previous director has been replaced.

I'm not a fan of JJ but at least the movie will probably be not bad.

The better question is, WTF is Disney doing that's pissing off directors?  Mind you, might be for the better.

Yeah it's odd. Disney gave Abrams and episode 8's director full creative control supposedly. They might just not be happy with the results.

I'm assuming Force Awakens was a hit with the hipster Smash Bros. crowd.  That's what Disney wants no?

Maybe Disney wanted more. 7 months delay isn't big considering what happened

Depends if they started filming.  If they didn't, then they're changing script.  If they're changing script, 7 months is a lot.
