Saying XBOX lacks exclusives is pretty hyperbolic. WW definitely, but for western audiences it's not that bad.

Crackdown (Microsoft)
Gears of War 4 (Microsoft)
Halo 5: Guardians (Microsoft)
Halo Wars 2 (Microsoft)
Quantum Break (Microsoft)
Rise of the Tomb Raider (Square Enix)
Sea of Thieves (Microsoft)
Scalebound (Microsoft)

Is still a solid list.
Hyperbolic? Not with a list that small heading into Year 3 and dang sure not in comparison to the competition. Let's not forget that two of those games, one of which is timed, will be off the list by the end of the year. Quantum Break has been on that list for well over two years now. It would have been released already if Remedy didn't drag its feet all the time. Only three of those games are being developed by Microsoft owned studios. That number drops to two starting in November. At the rate Microsoft is announcing games, Xbox owners are going to be dragging their parched bodies into E3 2017 and begging Microsoft to just announce something already. I think you and I have very different opinions on what a solid list looks like. Starting in 2016, half that list will consist of a sequel for a hit or miss franchise, a sequel to a strategy game that was decent, a goofy looking pirate game made by a studio that is a shadow of what it used to be, and a game with dragons that Microsoft is trying really hard to convince us is so cool that it will convince Japanese gamers to buy Xbox One.
