Please read "automagically" in my first post.
Second post explains what I do now.
That's very far from automatically.  :P

Well nothing is perfect - not even console gaming ;p

Nah, console gaming is perfect setup wise.

PC should be able to get pretty close, I'm hoping.

Just get an hdmi switch.

Or write a program that swaps screens without telling windows. Then have that automatically launch on select games.

Well at least this would be the cheaper option...

My monitor uses VGA.
Plus that only fixes one problem, that I'm already close to fixing.

This'd be a good idea.
But I think cloning monitors would have some nice benefits.

I bought  PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+ All You Can Eat Edition Bundle for $3.74 :O

The last Pac-Man game I played was the NES one lol.

Edit: Btw it is 35 year anniversary of pac-man :)!

Me playing PAC-MAN on Steam.

Made some great progress with what I want to do today. :D
-Did some digging, there is a controller set up already there, just have to set it up.
-Monitor came today, already set up.
-Sound is another matter, but very easy.

So close to a console like set up!  :D

Nice.

What are you doing for OS?

the-pi-guy

Nice.

What are you doing for OS?

Not doing anything with the OS.
But Steam's big picture mode is basically made for controllers.  For me, it's close enough.  :)

Are you booting to big picture mode?

Probably not.  :)

What monitor did you get? I'm trying to decide what to buy right now. So many choices..

http://www.amazon.com/PB278Q-27-Inch-LED-lit-Professional-Graphics/dp/B009C3M7H0?tag=bestmonitors04-20

I'm thinking about getting this one. I can get http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-28-Inch-Definition-Monitor-U28D590D/dp/B00IEZGWI2?tag=bestmonitors04-20 this one for just 50 more but even running two cards will be difficult to keep up with 4k 60

I was also thinking about running 3 monitors but of course it would only be 1080, Not sure if i could get away with running 3 monitors higher than that, plus i could get all 3 for the price of the two listed above.

what do you guy feel is the better set up.
