Title: Fear Effect Remaster heading to Switch, PS4, XB1, Steam
Post by: BasilZero on Aug 21, 2017, 11:37 AM
Back in 2000, Eidos Interactive teamed up with Kronos Digital Entertainment to release Fear Effect for the PlayStation. The game very much followed in the footsteps of the first Resident Evil with slow, calculated action gameplay, but its cel-shaded models combined with full motion video backgrounds meant it had a distinct visual style that set it apart at the time.

Unfortunately the developers at Kronos went defunct in 2002, and after Eidos was bought by Square Enix the franchise rights were in limbo. That was until Square Enix Collective let the indie studio Sushee (http://susheegames.com/) take the reins, who are currently working on a new installment titled Fear Effect Sedna (http://store.steampowered.com/app/546900/Fear_Effect_Sedna/). During development, however, the team decided to go back and remake the first game. Check out the first trailer for Fear Effect Reinvented
