Google censoring gun shopping related searches?

Im not sure how long this has been going on, but if you type in a type of gun into google and hit the shooping tab it will return no results. If you type in gun it will bring up toys.

Hmm I see that too. Makes some sense though since google shopping results are all sponsored, unlike the organic searches they do for everything else.

I wonder if Google is pulling out of gun ads.  

A lot of companies have been pulling from the NRA the past few weeks.
