Why?You know how Narnia is dumb but still kinda enjoyable?
This movie is dumb while also not being enjoyable while also being sad and depressing.

Why?Have you seen it?
You know how Narnia is dumb but still kinda enjoyable?Honestly yeah.

Have you seen it?I was always quite interested in it! Haven't seen it thoughSpoiler for Hidden:
Throughout most of the movie, you are getting to know these two characters and then one of them dies.
Honestly yeah.
This is making me think about how much I dislike the whole movie. There's nothing very fun about it, and the ending is just depressing.

Speaking of $700m, that's a worldwide total target that's being talked about for Solo. Quite a lot of BO followers think it might fall under that. Now that would be absolutely catastrophic. Its going to be an interesting one to follow. The 4 day memorial-day OW record is $139m, held by Pirates World's End. Solo not setting a new record would be the first sign of a disastrous BO run.Man, how things have changed in just a few days. I said not beating $140m would point to a possible disaster, and its going to miss it by about $40m, just shows you how bad it is.
Full Solo Friday came in at $35.6M (bad, I thought 35M was the bare minimum after the preview number). Asgard is saying 24.6 for Saturday (bad). It might not even make $100M 4-day. Holy shame what a disaster.Wow. Missing the 500$ mark? That's insanely bad.

Quite likely to miss $500m WW at this point. That'd be a huge loss of money for Disney, and a massive collapse for the franchise.
Wow. Missing the 500$ mark? That's insanely bad.Yeah exactly. The demographic that turns up to Star Wars films doesn't want films so often, not to mention films that no one really asked for.
Don't get me wrong. I'm happy about this cause I want starwars to just fudge off already lol.
But seriously, after TLJ and this Disney should take a hard look at starwars and realise it's not the franchise they thought it was. Milking it this hard going forward will destroy it and run it to the ground. This isn't another MCU.
Solo domestic 3 day early estimate ~ $83m, overseas ~$65m. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.Wow. This is more than just franchise fatigue imo. Maybe people just didn't want a Solo film, especially without Ford himself
Unless legs are crazy, this will be closer to $400m than $500m. What a crazy collapse.
Deadpool 2 had a very bad 66% drop to its second domestic weekend, and Infinity War seems like its numbers will be okay-ish.
Not a good weekend for any of the big three.
Edit: I didn't even think but that's a $148m global debut for Solo. Tracking only a week ago thought that was the low end for the domestic debut. My oh my. The same tracking put the global debut at around $300m, its managed half of that.

I have no idea how to unpick this, just a few days ago I was thinking it would do way better than this, and that was still bad. Thus isn't just lack of money for Disney, this movie will lose them quite a bit more than $100m. Something's gotta change after this. Its sad to see too, they really should have stuck to much less regular SW films, and actually listened to fans.
Seems like Solo was underestimated by about 1 million in the US on Sunday, some good news for it. Although its not really Solo performing better than expected, every film is going to be higher than estimated thanks to memorial day sunday being better than anticipated. IW is also going to be over a million up for example, and its weekend will end up being extremely good.Jeez
Solo was massively overestimated overseas though, we don't know by how much in total but it was $3m in the UK alone (Solo did about $7m rather than 10) I don't really know what happened there.
