Oh god that fudgy film. I can barely remember it now, but I still strongly remember how negatively I reacted to it.

I was always quite interested in it! Haven't seen it though

Throughout most of the movie, you are getting to know these two characters and then one of them dies.  

Honestly yeah.  
This is making me think about how much I dislike the whole movie.  There's nothing very fun about it, and the ending is just depressing.
