Currently Remedy is developing a sequel to one of the most popular games in the world in cooperation with the Korean publisher Smilegate, who's long-time success CrossFire gathers 650 million registered users and over one billion dollar yearly revenues.

Remedy is also working on a game project codenamed P7. The company's strategy is to release the game on a wider range of platforms, which is why Remedy is developing its Northlight technology also for PlayStation 4 consoles.
Remedy continues a successful year with two new games - Remedy

If the next remedy game is on ps4 it's another blow to MS.  their console exclusive line up is going to be pathetic.  And pretty much every console exclusive will be on pc.

HOpefully it releases before the ps5 ::)

It is going to be on ps4.  MS put out Quantum Break to die with not much of a push behind it.  Great game, but just needed a larger push.  Higher reviews would probably helped a little too.  At this point its easy to see that MS doesn't give a shame about any first party that isn't Halo, Forza, or Gears, IMO.  Sea of Thieves will bomb guaranteed unless it this amazing game, and you can bet Rare is gonna be on the chopping block if it flops hardcore.

On topic: I'm glad they are branching out to more platforms.  Wouldn't it be hilarious if sony got marketing rights for their next game.

But what's their endgame.  Have they just written off this gen and decided to hold all big exclusive first and third party investments for 3/4 years from now for the xbox two.

Because if they do that's the second half of last gen and the whole of this gen they've iced over xbox fans with a shame exclusive line up.  They're just going to lose more fans to PC and Playstation.

Well considering they really don't have that many first party studios anyway the vast majority are just IP factories for those 3 games.  I think they are banking on merging xbox and PC together as mostly 1 ecosystem.  It will be a slow process, but thats ultimately what it seems like right now.  I'm not sure it will pan out though.

A lot of 3rd party/independent studios are realizing xbox is just not the right choice for exclusivity because of MS only really giving much attention to their own big franchises.   Unless MS turns the tides Remedy and others will continue to be multiplatform from here out.

At least for this year, yes.

They have hardly any announced games compared to previous years and there's very little rumored to be in the pipeline. It's possible they've given up on using exclusives to sell XBOX. Instead they'll use hardware like Scorpio and the windows ecosystem.

They have like 5 first party studios that make games currently.
Halo, Gears, Minecraft, Forza and Rare is pretty much what they have.
