switch 1.1 millionI don't think Nintendo shipped that much for US :P
Ps4 and xb1 no idea. but ps4 > xb1
May actual prediction.Well keep your prediction for the May NPD thread then.
[NSW] 600k
[PS4] 300k
[XB1] 180k
Well keep your prediction for the May NPD thread then.lol
switch 1.1 millionOver a million? That would be crazy :o
Ps4 and xb1 no idea. but ps4 > xb1
Over a million? That would be crazy :oIt had a whole month. You guys are crazy thinking it sold 500k or 600k. It sold more than the Wii in its first week. And it had a whole month.
It had a whole month. You guys are crazy thinking it sold 500k or 600k. It sold more than the Wii in its first week. And it had a whole month.Nintendo didn't have stock for 1 million in US... they probably shipped 2m this fiscal year WW.
Honestly if it's sub 1 million then it's a huge flop in my book. PS4 sold 1 million in one day. This thing had a full month
It had a whole month. You guys are crazy thinking it sold 500k or 600k. It sold more than the Wii in its first week. And it had a whole month.I said 800k actually.

Nintendo didn't have stock for 1 million in US... they probably shipped 2m this fiscal year WW.Their forecast was 2 million. They could, and should have exceeded that
I said 800k actually.Well i lumped you guys together so i wasn't talking about you specifically.
Nintendo had 2 million to ship WW for the fiscal year. Unless they sent a massive proportion of that stock to the US, they didn't sell 1 million. I thought I was being optimistic tbh
Their forecast was 2 million. They could, and should have exceeded thatThat can be true but I have my doubts due some shipment evidences...
So switch is sub 1 million. That's bad.Speculation from the site based in old PRs for NA... that site didn't have the numbers.
So switch is sub 1 million. That's bad.I think you're only the only person calling sub 1 million bad. They sold what they shipped and its still selling really well.
I really hope we get PS4 numbers. I think they can be rather impressive due to the software that came out

I think you're only the only person calling sub 1 million bad. They sold what they shipped and its still selling really well.i dont see how sub 1 million is good. if its launch week, sure, but for an entire month? if its around the 500k mark then i really dont see how thats good.
Guys the numbers from the site are speculations... not real numbers. We're not using any numbers from the site?
Even the 28m for XB1 is just speculation based on Chartz.
We're not using any numbers from the site? The > 500k for first week in NA is real and come from Nintendo.
The > 500k for first week in NA is real and come from Nintendo.I thought this was obvious? I was just questioning why Banana thought <1m would be bad :D
55m PS4 is real too and come from Sony.
Just these two are official... the rest is speculation by the writer.

Nintendo Switch, the new home gaming system that people can also take on the go, has sold faster in its launch month than any other video game system in Nintendo history. The Nintendo Switch system sold more than 906,000 units in March, according to the NPD Group, which tracks video game sales in the United States. That makes Nintendo Switch one of the fastest-selling video game systems of all time. Notably, this sales surge was accomplished in a nontraditional month for a console launch.http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20170413006259/en/Nintendo-Switch-Fastest-Selling-Video-Game-System-Nintendo
The Nintendo Switch system sold more than 906,000 units in March, according to the NPD Group, which tracks video game sales in the United States.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game sold over 1.3 million units*. That total includes more than 925,000 units sold for Nintendo Switch and nearly 460,000 units sold for the Wii U console.
WEll I was a bit on the low side. That's gteat!Yeah and considering it's pretty much been sold out since week 1. I really hope it does well going forward as well so it can get better support.

Didnt the Wii u had good numbers at the start too? That said, they did ship alot more consoles early this time.
Over 100% attachment rate for Zelda. That has to be a record. Cool how pre-release we were speculating this was happening based off Amazon sales. Shocked it kept up for the whole month though.
That means that Nintendo sold more of this game for Nintendo Switch than it sold Nintendo Switch systems, for an attach rate of more than 100 percent. This may be attributed to people who purchased both a limited edition of the game to collect and a second version to play.
Who in their right mind puts Zelda and Resident Evil in the same genre?MS is giving digital data now?
Also nice MS will be giving out digital data, follow suit Sony!!
So taking those stats into account what can we estimate andromeda being at. And what did shadow fall debut at?The notes is wrong... the best selling Gerrilha game is Killzone 2 at 324k I guess.

Estimating digital sales, which are not included in the NPD number.
What an incredible month
Horizon over 1m, US only? :oWith DD yes.
Holy cow.
And Wildlands is above that? Both physically and digitally (remember it charted above Horizon in the top downloads of the month in the US as well)?Well Zelda alone is over 1m without digital (it was 900k retail on SW vs 925k digital... so add WiiU retail).
How much did that freaking game sell?
Also I don't really understand this, does the NPD group get digital data from Sony but isn't allowed to put it in their reports?
How the fudge did gr sell so muchGR?
Ghost Recon.Oh yeah.
I assumed Gravity Rush at first ::)
How the fudge did gr sell so muchUbisofts marketing team are simply legendary. Watch dogs, the division and ghost recon are smash hits. For Honor did really well too.
How the fudge did gr sell so muchIt's a great game for the mass market.
im glad For Honor did so well. over 1.3 million in the US alone in two months is fantastic for a new IP. hopefully this game can reach at least 3 million sales world wide at the very least. i put over 60 hours into it already, and loving it. i hope its successful enough to warrant a sequel. It feels so much like the first Titanfall.
It feels so much like the first Titanfall.honestly its a great game. the issue is Ubisoft them selfs. their servers suck, even though i been warned. and they are rather slow with the updates. they are improving though. i do have some issues with balancing and wish some quirks would be ironed out. but over all its a great game. i have yet to play the single player. but over all, it doesnt seem like an unfinished game or bare bones. it has enough content and depth to justify it. so i disagree with the titanfall analogy. they are going to add 6 more characters, at least 1 more mode from what i understand, and new maps as time goes by. with those all there the game will be bursting with content. and the new content is all free. and with the new updates they made to obtaining the in game currency, unlocking those new content shouldnt be really much of a problem.
So much potential that could really be delivered with a sequel.

It's just mp maps with cutscenes. That's what I was meaning with TF.

Looks like NPD did adjustments to the numbers.

PS. I know this PR was hilarious :D :D :D
Ah, it's a classicYeap. it could be around 900k yet but below Switch.
So most likely not a huge difference between the two consoles
GAF prediction results out.PS4>345k from this. Don't think I can work out anything else more concrete.
1. Zedark
[NSW] 950k
[PS4] 360k
[XB1] 200k
2. Gaspard
[NSW] 910K
[PS4] 300K
[XB1] 190K
3. BeforeU
[NSW] 1M
[PS4] 340K
[XB1] 230K
4. Opt1kon_
[NSW] 798K
[PS4] 396K
[XB1] 186K
To Zedark be first his PS4/XB1 numbers needs to be better than Gaspard number by at least 40k... so PS4 is probably close to 360k and XB1 to 200k.
PS4>345k from this. Don't think I can work out anything else more concrete. Not bad... not bad.

Edit: nvm, we can't for certain yet. I made a slight logic error, which makes discerning the numbers no longer approximately possible. My reasoning went that numbers 3 and 4 are very close together (it can be shown from labaronx' numbers that it is less than 15k), and that their Switch predictions are wrong by roughly (within 12k) the same amount, so from there we might be able to work something out. My error was that I wanted to take the average between the XB1 and PS4 entries to get the NPD approximate results, but that doesn't work in practice. Also, PS4 is at the very least 330k, and XB1 is 200k+, otherwise I would have lost to Gaspard. Seeing as Gaspard is at least 10k ahead of number 3 and 4, and 15k ahead of labaronx, 3 and 4 must be almost the same, and furthermore PS4 > 335k and XB1 > 225k. This means that XB1 skews towards 3 by at least 39k and at most 44k. Taking the lower difference, PS4 must be around 39k closer to 4, so PS4 ~ 388k would apply. For The 44k case, PS4 ~ 390k. This is of course not taking into account the 12k Switch differences between 3 and 4, which changes things a bit. Labaronx' numbers:
The first guy in Prediction is estimating... he checked others prediction that are of course below the TOP4.That seems like a good estimate to me. So PS4>345k and XB1>225k is what we can say for sure, while PS4 is likely around 390k. Nice.
PS4 ~390k
XB1 > 225k

So for the first three months in the USA. How much are the estimates?PS4: 210k + (> 395k) + (~390k) = ~995k
