I like the E3 plan this year, doing some different things which I think will be good. I think we have to continue to evolve, excite, learn and get better. I feel like we will do all of these this year.

I know. But fallout 4 was a highly anticipated and popular IP. This is a new IP. And whether people like it or not, announcing a game well ahead of time seems to give very strong results. Look at the division, destiny, for honor, watch dogs, horizon for example

Going to be lame.Could be fun
Going to be lame. Not at all! Gameplay from Death Stranding, Ghost, and TLOU 2 will be enough for me. The rest is cake. Yes new announcements are awesome, but we have so many games announced with no gameplay yet.
Going to be lame.2017 was lame. Hopefully this is less lame.
Or better yet, which first party studios where you expecting to announce any games?Sony's new Manchester Studio (It's 3 years old, I'm sure it has something), Sony London is pretty much as big as Sony Japan (although with hardly any recent AAA titles), Sony's new Mateo Studio, and Sony Japan is huge.

I think it's just a normal e3 but with us knowing which Sony games will be there. Like mS gamescom 2015.
Not to mention that it could be a good place to show off 2nd and 3rd party games.
The show will have 3rd party reveals. I think it's just a normal e3 but with us knowing which Sony games will be there. Like mS gamescom 2015.But are we talking like Call of Duty fhird party or are we talking awesome third party?
Sony's new Manchester Studio (It's 3 years old, I'm sure it has something), Sony London is pretty much as big as Sony Japan (although with hardly any recent AAA titles), Sony's new Mateo Studio, and Sony Japan is huge.Sony London's output is complete trash, no matter what they are working on, the core won't care for it. Sony San Mateo doesn't even seem to be making their own games and whatever Manchester Studios is making will be VR exclusive and as such not be considered a big deal by most.
Not to mention that it could be a good place to show off 2nd and 3rd party games.
But are we talking like Call of Duty fhird party or are we talking awesome third party?Hopefully both.
Also while I'm definitely disappointed by Japan Studios (Knack 2, really?), I'd rather have Sony start their focus on next generation development now, instead of repeating what they apparently did with the PS3, where they kept dev ressources on that system until the last possible moment, which resulted in an absolutely pathetic output of first party games during the first couple years of the PS4's life.Horizon 2 could be on ps4. Treat it like TLOU, gow:a, or beyond and have it come out half a year before next gen.
Assuming a holiday 2020 release date for the PS5, we get 3.5 years for Guerrilla Games to work on Horizon 2 before next gen, 3 years for Polyphony Digital and GT, 2.5 years for SSM and Quantic Dream, about 2 years for Insomniac and a good amount of time for Japan Studios to finally make something ambitious (-.-). That should be more or less enough time for those studios to make sure the PS5 doesn't experience similar launch droughts to the PS4. Especially if you consider that a lot of franchises or reboots in the case of God of War are going to continue on PS5, meaning that a lot of the groundwork is already being done for the foreseeable future.
Yep

Horizon 2 could be on ps4. Treat it like TLOU, gow:a, or beyond and have it come out half a year before next gen. They should go the Botw route then and make it a cross gen release.Yep
— Detroit: Become Shuman (@sidshuman) May 11, 2018
Game play is cool, but that not why i watch e3.Botw gameplay at E3 was awesome and getting short gameplay reveal demos is awesome.
I just wish game development time and cost wasn't becoming so inflated.Procedural tech is at least becoming more and more used. Realistically devs will always push the limits and just use better tech to make bigger games, but hopefully the cost can stay static.
I hope there's some nice VR announcements.* I'd feel pretty good about that.
*As literally everyone on the planet knows .
(I don't mean procedural generation like minecraft or nms)Or do you? 8)
Or do you? 8)I love real time procedural generation and think it's awesome. So many space games can only be made with it.
Nah.

I am making this post today not as a sole person but as part of a community. For quite some while, we, a Devil May Cry community, have been aware of the existence of a new DMC game. After reading that Hideaki Itsuno plans to unveil his secret project this year, we waited diligently to see what the project was even though we knew full and well what it actually was. We waited through E3, TGS, Paris Games and now we are in late November 2017 with no information about Itsuno's project. We endured through multiple apologies on his part and we do not in any way blame Itsuno for the the current situation. (Original plan was to leak this document after PSX/Capcom Cup but details of this document started to spread like wildfire and it was only a matter of time before it got posted in less savory places without context so we are leaking this earlier than anticipated).RELEASE DATE AND PRODUCTION
- Hideaki Itsuno's secret project for Capcom is the sequel to the original Devil May Cry series, the 5th installment. Internally it appears to be called "Devil May Cry V" instead of using the standard numeric system of the previous games (think MGS1-4 to MGSV).
- The game is slated to release some time in the fiscal calendar year of 2019. That means sometime between April 2018 and March 2019. Original plan was to release it in November 2018 but the date MIGHT have been pushed back to early 2019.
- Originally DMCV was intended to be announced at PSX but after receiving feedback on their E3 press conference, Sony decided to scale back on PSX and instead scale up E3 2018. DMCV was an unfortunate casualty of this choice and thus it's unlikely that DMCV gets officially revealed in 2017.
- There will be a demo for the game sometime before release.
- Game has been in development for 2 years as of today. When it will release it will have been in development for 3 years at least. That is actually the highest time a DMC game has been in full production for. Pre-production started as early as 2015 around the time that DMC4SE finished releasing. There have been no development hiccups and as stated, the development has in fact been progressing smoothly.
- There is some form of Playstation exclusivity involved. Sony is paying for some of the funding for the game but the extent of it is not known. Could be completely PS4 exclusive, console exclusive or timed exclusive. If the game is announced publicly then it will be at a Sony event, which is why many people thought that it was going to be at PSX.
DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Trailer has been ready for a while now. The initial trailer is 1 minute 50 seconds long (they may add new cuts to trailer to make an extended version since some time has passed from when it was made). It is mostly focused on story, characters and cutscenes. A city like setting is shown in the trailer not that different from Fortuna city in DMC4.- The overall game is supposed to be "ambitious" for a DMC title with a broader appeal.
- Longest cutscene runtime of any DMC game yet.
CHARACTERS AND STORY (POTENTIALLY BIG SPOILERS!)
- Itsuno's team that worked on previous DMC games and Dragon's Dogma is working on DMCV.
- Yuji Shimomura is returning as the cutscene director for DMCV. He worked on DMC3, DMC4 and Bayonetta cutscenes.
- Rueben Langdon is reprising his role as Dante.
- Johnny Young Bosch is reprising his role as Nero.
- Dan Southworth is reprising his role as Vergil.
- No word on the actresses who played Trish and Lady if they will be returning,
- Onyay Pheori is helping with the soundtrack (she did the song for DMC4SE's launch trailer).
GAME PLAY/SYSTEMS
- DMCV picks up the story after DMC4.
- More than one playable character in the game, Dante is for sure playable and Nero is possibly playable as well. Up to 3 playable characters have been suggested for now.
- This is the most serious Dante has been (a "new side" of Dante), of course not counting DMC2. Dante still plays with his enemies and has his usual over the top flair but this game is going to be more personal for him.
- A third character is expected to be playable as well. Said to be "very powerful." May or may not be brand new to the series.
- No word on whether Vergil is playable or not, he will be returning although specifics on how he is returning from his death in DMC1 are unknown.
- Trish has a prominent role to play in DMCV but no word on whether she is playable or not.
There will be a sequence where Nero and Vergil have a confrontation, confirming their relationship (Nero is in fact Vergil's son as stated in the DMC3142 artbook).- Characters switch during key story points in the game.
- The "Prince of Darkness" is featured as the main antagonist of the story. (Prince of Darkness title normally refers to Mundus so it might indicate his return but that title may have transferred to another character)
- DMCV might be the end of the "sons of Sparda" storyline.
- Hard lock on is standard.
- Console is targeted for 60 frames per second like the previous DMC games.
- Level design is more open than previous DMC games but not going into Souls or open world territory of level design. Movement outside of combat has been streamlined to match the open nature of the game. The structure is more open to make the experience more "smooth." Immersion is important to the team with this game.
- Level design and exploration is more similar to Bayonetta with action set pieces thrown in there but without the QTEs. QTEs in general do not exist in DMCV thus far.
- There is NO Stamina bar.
- This is not a Musou game but there will be encounters where you are facing more enemies than you are used to in a DMC game.
A LITTLE UPDATE
- There is some online integration but definitely no multiplayer PvP.
- Dodge system is reworked and dodging in general is supposed to be a lot smoother than before (get ready to hear the word "smooth" a lot when related to DMCV).
- Camera pulls back during big fights. The devs are really proud of the new, more dynamic camera system.
- Animations are being improved to be less stiff. Big emphasis on cloth physics (maybe Dante's sword might not clip through his jacket now!). Battles are beautifully animated and smooth.
- Mission and Ranking system similar to previous DMC games and Bayonetta. There will definitely be mission/chapter selects.
- Bosses being ramped up dramatically in DMCV. One of the boss fights moves between multiple areas of the game.
- Style system is in for Dante - Enemies will react a bit differently to each style.
- Style system has been streamlined to be smoother to use for the players (speculated that the style system might be tuned/reworked to make it easier to get into than in DMC4).
- Certain styles will have advantages on certain enemies similar to DmC/DMC3 (you can use a single style on any enemy just fine).
- More environment interactivity than any previous DMC game. This is supposed to compliment the combat system, not detract from it.
- There is some form of dynamic environment destruction/transformation in play but not on the scale of DmC thus far.
- While this is not an open world game, some inspirations have been taken from Dragon's Dogma.
- PlayStation 4 first, PC later
- Unreal Engine 4
- Third playable character is most likely Vergil
It seems they will definitely have a lot this year, or maybe just some really, really long demos.

A lot of the games are in the 60's MC. There's a few that are even substantially lower in the 30's/40's.

Slatoff confirmed that the publisher, which includes 2K Games and Rockstar Games, isn't planning to show any new games at the show in Los Angeles. This comes just after the company revealed (https://www.dualshockers.com/take-two-strong-results/) that a "highly-anticipated title from one of 2K's biggest franchises" has been delayed to fiscal year 2020, which means between April 1st, 2019 and March 31st, 2020. The Sony poster of the year has become a fun part of E3 for me.I'm just so happy to see it being used for E3 again. A couple years around the new gen just had movie ads on it.

PC -1, I don't really like their shows anyways.New totals:
EA -1- I don't really like sports games. Even optimistically this will be among my least favorite.
Nintendo +1, big games guaranteed. Show off smash, and I'm sure something else will be shown.
Bethesda +1, this one has more to do with how pessimistic I am about most of the other shows.
EA -1: They have absolutely terrible conferences, every year.New totals:
MS -1: They have been completely mediocre this entire generation and I see no reason why that would change this year.
Sony +1: Even without any big 1st party surprises, Sony looks to have the most exciting showing, Aside from them I don't expect this to be a particularly interesting E3 year.
Square +1: Pretty much the only other conference that even interests me this year, due the possibilities of KH3, FF7R and me still having a soft spot for Square.
How I expect E3 to go for me on a personal level or in general?Personal, but you can personally like a show even if it's not a game you'll play. FF7R for example was an awesome announcement imo and I loved it, but I don't care at all about it.
Cause for example Microsoft can announce bioshock 4, resident evil 8, halo 6, gears 5, Forza 8, and team fortress 3 all exclusive to them. And I wouldn't give a rat's dog even though that would be an epic showing overall
So is the game scored catering to me or showings in general.
+1 Sony: This one is obvious. Even though we know about most of their upcoming games, we still haven't seen much at all from many, like TLou2, Ghost of tushima and spider-man needs to show us more villains! I do expect some surprises here too as alwaysYou did the totalling your self!!!
+1 Nintendo: They have to announce a lot to make up for the almost complete lack of games so far in 2018. I do expect them to show Smash and announce Pokémon so that's something.
-1 Microsoft: They really don't seem to get what the gaming community wants this gen. I expect that to continue with announcements of their usual forza, halo, gears etc.
-1 Square Enix: Kingdom Hearts III is finally on the horizon but I expect not much else to be shown. FfVII remake still very far off. They take their time, but it hasn't paid off in the past 2 generations.
New totals:
EA: -2
Ubisoft: 0
Xbox: -3
Bethesda: +1
Devolver: +1
Square Enix: 0
PC: -2
PlayStation: +2
Nintendo: +3
You did the totalling your self!!!I felt sorry for you after everyone else ignored it!
Bathesda +1: we know one thing coming from bathesda so far which is Rage 2. While I am not hyped a lot for it I do think it will add to their show. A double announcement of Starfield and Doom 5 would be amazing. A new sci-fi RPG from bathesda would cause a huge amount of hype.New totals:
Ubisoft +1: I'm extremely excited for beyond good and evil. And since last year's E3 I been wanting to see more and more of it. It's extremely ambitious and interesting. Skull and Bones will be there too and I want more of that as well. I hope they announce something unexpected too.
PC -1: their shows always suck. Simple as that
Square -1: I don't expect to see the avengers project at this E3. And if it did, don't expect it any time soon. These are the Devs who announced KH3 before the gen even fudgy started and it still didn't release. Ohh and another Tomb Raider... Eh... Yay?

So hyped for Beyond Good and Evil 2 but I think it might be too early to have anything big shown.
Just a stupid typo.Coolio. You've called them Bathesda a bunch as of late so I was starting to wonder if it had a deeper meaning.
Yeah extremely hyped for it. They are taking their sweet time with the game and I am completely fine with that lol. I hope the game lives up to its hype
Coolio. You've called them Bathesda a bunch as of late so I was starting to wonder if it had a deeper meaning.Lol I need to pay more attention when typing their name then.
I just hope they care about people without friends and don't make it too multiplayer focused.
Lol I need to pay more attention when typing their name then.I'm assuming they'll use "controlled" procedural generation. NMS and Minecraft do everything with procedural generation and must solely rely on their algorithms. With this game they can do a pass with procedural generation and then go in by hand to fix things up and make sure it's really good. Saves time but doesn't really compromise the quality of the game.
Yeah that's my biggest concern and fear. From what they are saying it seems it will be good playing it alone. But we can't really know at this stage.
And my other concern is they are biting off more than they can chew, they said everything is hand made and there is no procedural generation, which after no man's sky and what happened with Mass effect Andromeda, is a good thing IMO. But it makes me wonder how they are gonna a pull it off. They are limiting the number of world's, but still the area to generate and make is massive.
I only get to plus two and minus two? I feel like as a small forum we should get more than two each... anyway.Didn't add to Nintendo!
Nintendo - definitely a +1 from me. They have a lot of games to show like Metroid, Pokemon and Smash. Fans always love it, and they always bring the fun. Its going to be great.
Ubisoft - another +1 mainly due to how good they were last year. Its always a fun conference to watch, and I'm excited to see what they have in store.
PC - I don't get why this is included, its basically necessary to give this -1. These shows are a snoozefest with not much interesting happening.
EA -1, this was between xbox and EA for me. I think EA just takes it due to their much more boring conference style. I hope xbox have some good things to show, but I think it'll be close between these two.
I wanted to give Devolver a +1 but I think it'll be too short to really merit it, plus it'll be hard topping last years.
Sony I am probably most interested in, but I know what they're bringing already so its not really going to be anything to be hyped or excited about. Just some good new gameplay.

They used procedural generation to place plants etc. and then went in by hand to fixe and make things better.
Mass Effect Andromeda didn't really use procedural generation. It suffered from good ol fashion asset reuse.
Yeah a good example of procedural generation you are talking about is Horizon. They used procedural generation to place plants etc. and then went in by hand to fixe and make things better.Haha I'd imagine you'd have to go back a decade or two to find a game with forests that manually placed each tree.
Haha I'd imagine you'd have to go back a decade or two to find a game with forests that manually placed each tree.True, I think most people hear procedural generation and assume they might mean something like NMS. But that's mostly the fault of those type of games pushing procedural generation a lot.
Didn't add to Nintendo!Oh yh, Nintendo should be +4.

I figured a new thread was better than using the old one as that didn't feature finalized plans. I searched but found no other thread on this topic. On May 23, 2018, The ESA/Map Your Show published finalized floor plans for E3 2018. These are interactive and available at https://mp1630k065.mapyourshow.com/7_0/floorplan/?navbarlink=1. Below are South Hall, West Hall and Permanent Meeting Rooms. The Concourse Hall has been omitted as it is of lesser interest, but can of course be viewed via the link above.(https://abload.de/img/mp1630k065_floorplan-t2ue1.png)(https://abload.de/img/mp1630k065_floorplan-bvu9h.png)(https://abload.de/img/mp1630k065_floorplan-peuq6.png) Note that booth 5644 in West Hall is reserved by Nintendo. In earlier booth lists they had booth 5636 as well. Sony had booth 4244 earlier, but current lists do not seem they have it anymore (could be changed of course). Microsoft is represented as Mixer (booth 1023 in South Hall), but they have their own show at the Microsoft Theater across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) as well.https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2018/04/18/xbox-at-e3-2018/ Nintendo had in one version of the booth listings the 411 theater:(https://abload.de/img/theater_08-2015_007qjun2.png) It is not listed under Nintendo anymore but considering the company has used this theater for several consecutive years at E3 I see no reason to believe they won't use it again this year. E3 2018 is scheduled to take place June 12-14 in Los Angeles Convention Center. Connected press conferences of Bethesda, Devolver Digital, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony and Ubisoft start on Saturday, June 9 and continue over the weekend up to the start of the expo on June 12.
Saw this posted in another thread, if you go to Xbox's E3 site, there's now an "add to calendar" button for the conference and it's 1 PM PT-3 PM PT. This means the conference will be about 18 minutes longer than last year which was 1 hour and 42 minutes of which the first 10 minutes was Xbox One X reveal. So all in all, 28-30 more minutes of games (compared to last year) when you combine the 18 minutes of time + the fact that there's no new hardware to be revealed this year. Source: go to http://Https://Xbox.com/e3 and press the "add to calendar" button.Sweet

With that, in collaboration with the Entertainment Software Association, the organizers of E3, we're excited to announce that Xbox will be taking over the Microsoft Theater, a perfectly situated space located in the heart of L.A. Live and across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). The Microsoft Theater will be home to official E3 events like the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing on June 10, 2018 at 1PM PT, various Xbox FanFest activities, hands-on gameplay and demos for all E3 attendees and more. Not only does the Microsoft Theater allow us to centralize our Xbox presence at E3, but it's size enables us to include even more fans and partners in the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing than ever before. Lol remember when Xbox's biggest ever year in history was with the games Halo 5, Gears UE, Forza, Tomb Raider & Fable Legends. That wasn't biggest ever. It was the best line up in Xbox history. Get your spinning right.
A decent Halo entry that was a letdown for some, a remaster, a racing game also on PC, a timed exclusive and a game which was cancelled. I'll never believe them saying best ever. I don't get why they keep doing it.

Have you guys heard the pokemon rumours?Nah bro.
Nah bro.Called Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee. Pokemon yellow remakes, tied into pokemon Go. That seems to be the jist of it. There's some details which may or may not be true, but they're from a separate leaker and details line up:

Haha I mean in Iceland, weather wiseWeather has been really nice and hot in London in May. Last few days have been awful though, just constant thunderstorms. Sunday evening there was lightning with frequency I've never seen before, literally every couple of seconds for a prolonged period of time. It was mad. Today there's been intermittent lightening and thunder.
The Go-related accessory doesn't need much explaining. It's extremely simple and straight forward. Nothing exciting.I wonder what this Go related accessory will be.

It's awful and our AC hasn't worked this year.

Some developments on Pokemon. The two games this year aren't really main games it seems (the lets go eevee and pikachu). The proper Switch pokemon RPG is coming next year.We have a countdown even though it hasn't been officially teased yet? ::)
Anyways, this years games are being announced in around 6 hours time.
Edit: oh and the lets go games are very unlikely to be a new gen. Next year's games will start gen 8.
Double edit: since this is weird, just confirming the games are made by Game Freak. So they are mainline, whatever they do turn out to be.
We have a countdown even though it hasn't been officially teased yet? ::)Insiders leaked that there's some sort of press event happening in Japan 4 and a half hours from now. We'll get the info when it finishes, 6 hours from now.

dang if Sony is gong back to theatres. They might have something hey want to show.Less places than last year though
Ooh I wonder what that's going to be ^^ :oLast panel will reveal Fallout 76 is a card game :P
Did Ruin4r leak Dead Don't Ride before the trademark showed up? If not, then they're just guessing on things. That was well known back then.He knew it and I don't think Dead Don't ride ever trademarked too. The guy knows his stuff he told Reddit for E3 2017 to not get too hyped for Sony's as it will only show SOTC and Monster Hunter as big announcements. He also knew Ellie would be much older in TLOU PT 2 too. He knows his onions.
Also 1 week!!!!

Horizon, please don't do this Henrik shame.Henrik?
Rayspace isn't rumoured to be anything, Rayspace is a trademark Sony filed, anything beyond that is pure speculation.
Horizon, please don't do this Henrik shame.Even if it isn't Rayspace I still think we should expect something from Japan Studio this year.
Rayspace isn't rumoured to be anything, Rayspace is a trademark Sony filed, anything beyond that is pure speculation.
Henrik?Henrik is a user on Resetera, who seems obsessed with Sony Japan, that entire thing Horizon posted earlier about Sony Japan, I guarantee you that he got all of that from Henrik, who regularly posts this stuff in the Sony first party thread over there.
Rayspace sounds like software to me. Odd name for a game.
Henrik?Yeah like raytracing or v ray. It sounds like tech.
Rayspace sounds like software to me. Odd name for a game.
Even if it isn't Rayspace I still think we should expect something from Japan Studio this year. Its attitudes like this which ruin e3 for me. If you go in expecting things to show up, you're only either satisfied or disappointed and nothing more. The best part of e3 is being shocked and surprised by things.
Even if it isn't Rayspace I still think we should expect something from Japan Studio this year.No you shouldn't. Sony then them selfs said they were focusing on games that they already announced regarding world wide studios. And new announcements from third parties. They wouldn't say that if they had big games to announce.
No you shouldn't. Sony then them selfs said they were focusing on games that they already announced regarding world wide studios. And new announcements from third parties. They wouldn't say that if they had big games to announce.Just because they announced they are focusing on 4 big games does not mean they won't have at least one announcement. Even in PSX they announced MediEvil remake/remaster and they had couches talking games lol. Expecting one announcement from them is not exactly setting my expectations up. If they didn't have anything to announce they could do the deep dives with youtube videos. Regardless if they don't announce anything it doesn't matter as I am very happy with the 4 games they are focusing on.
Its attitudes like this which ruin e3 for me. If you go in expecting things to show up, you're only either satisfied or disappointed and nothing more. The best part of e3 is being shocked and surprised by things.Agreed.
Leaks make it all worse, for sure.
Outside of small things/remakes, I don't expect Sony to announce any games. They somehow did that last year, so the ps blog post makes it sound like this year will be the same.If you're gonna wish for something, make it worthwhile... smh.
So freaking hyped though. It's E3! Give me psasbr 2 baby.

Xbox have said their conference is around 100 minutes this year.Modern Sony is so dumb. They're at their A game with games yet their conferences aren't as fun as earlier in this gen. Remember when they had to have 3 big conferences a year because there was so much to talk about? :P
I hope Sony's is back to around 90 minute this year, but I doubt it. They seem to be past using their older format of having people talk on stage, its almost a Nintendo direct now.
Modern Sony is so dumb. They're at their A game with games yet their conferences aren't as fun as earlier in this gen. Remember when they had to have 3 big conferences a year because there was so much to talk about? :PYeah. :(
Hopefully this E3 surprises us.
Modern Sony is so dumb. They're at their A game with games yet their conferences aren't as fun as earlier in this gen. Remember when they had to have 3 big conferences a year because there was so much to talk about? :PIts because they actually used to care about and promote indies. They seem to have completely gotten rid of indie sections in their main conferences. They have side events and stuff like that for indies now instead, but the exposure for them is nowhere near enough.
Hopefully this E3 surprises us.
Its because they actually used to care about and promote indies. They seem to have completely gotten rid of indie sections in their main conferences. They have side events and stuff like that for indies now instead, but the exposure for them is nowhere near enough.Funny how we've come full circle now. People uses to complaint hard about all the indie exposure at Sonys conferences (remember Indiestation?) and third party multiplats were viewed as wasted time as well since they appear on all platforms anyways.
Couple that with them cutting down on pretty much all talking, and that's a lot of the difference.
Also it seems to me that they're giving third parties less time, pretty much only going with ones they have deals with and even then not giving them much. Like COD used to get 10-15 mins on the MS stage, but Sony gave them 3 minutes last year. And they pretty much don't get any gameplay segments from third parties either, which MS always has a lot of.
All of that is the difference. The less talking is a good change, but the rest of it isn't imo. We don't care about you trimming it down, we're going to watch all of it anyway, just give us lots of gameplay sections and long trailers, and more games!
Also sounds to me like they're going to get worse this e3, with them saying the show is focusing on their 4 big upcoming games. Maybe we'll get even fewer indies and third parties.
Funny how we've come full circle now. People uses to complaint hard about all the indie exposure at Sonys conferences (remember Indiestation?) and third party multiplats were viewed as wasted time as well since they appear on all platforms anyways.Which indie games did you play? The past few years I've been way more interested in them than AAA games.
I still think that way, most indie games I played over the last years turned out to be way overhyped anyways. To me 2016 is still Sonys best conference der and probably the best conference I've seen to date.
Which indie games did you play? The past few years I've been way more interested in them than AAA games.Off the top of my head Axiom Verge, Celeste, Golf Story, Stardew Valley and Shovel Knight. Out of those Celeste is the only one that comes close to deserving the praise it's gotten.
Also I do remember indiestation :'(
Funny how we've come full circle now. People uses to complaint hard about all the indie exposure at Sonys conferences (remember Indiestation?) and third party multiplats were viewed as wasted time as well since they appear on all platforms anyways.Eh I don't give a shame about the people complaining about indiestation and all that. Indies deserve some time in the spotlight, it's too hard for them to get an audience a lot of the time and that can help a lot.
I still think that way, most indie games I played over the last years turned out to be way overhyped anyways. To me 2016 is still Sonys best conference yet and probably the best conference I've seen to date.
^oh just so everyone knows, Naughty Dog is using quixel megascans now. They are listed on their site. So I'm assuming they are using it for TLOU 2. So get ready for some super duper realism in the game.Yes. I know what this is.
Yes. I know what this is.Yeah they must be moving away from their stylized realism look they went for in the uncharted games and TLOU. Plus it's a lot faster for development as well, because they won't have to go through and hand paint all their textures like before.
I'm guessing that's how they made trailer 2 look so good.
There was a facebook post with the Sony e3 teaser video and so many of the comments are just so dumb. Loads of people saying "we already know about all of those games, I'm not going to watch if they're not announcing anything" ... oh yeah sure they're going to put their surprise announcements in this teaser trailer to show you what you're going to be surprised by if you watch the show...It's Facebook...
Why are so many people so dumb :'(
It's Facebook...They're people
It's Facebook...Yeah but most of these people are claiming to be proper fans and all that, not just random ignorant people. Also people on facebook are real, I was just mainly complaining about people being dumb, I'm fully aware I should expect it in comment sections. But this is like passive dumbness, it annoys me even more

The average person is not super bright. (Sorry average person who reads this)It's funny because you really don't notice it as much until you go online, because the people you're around most of the time are in a similar position as you I guess. Similar education, age, experiences. When viewing comments online by lots of people you have no connection with it can be a shock!

Also people on facebook are real, I was just mainly complaining about people being dumb, I'm fully aware I should expect it in comment sections. But this is like passive dumbness, it annoys me even moreI'd say it's because being a game fan and being a game industry fan are different things. Millions of people play games all the time and tune in for E3, but a significantly smaller amount of people read about the boring things outside the big announcements.

You might think your friend is normal, only to find out they post about how the moonlanding was faked on facebook.
I'd say it's because being a game fan and being a game industry fan are different things. Millions of people play games all the time and tune in for E3, but a significantly smaller amount of people read about the boring things outside the big announcements. This is a big factor.
Probably can't watch EA's conference cause my cousin is having a graduation open house that day at that exact time.Ouch.

Probably can't watch EA's conference cause my cousin is having a graduation open house that day at that exact time.Well EAs conferences are usually boring. It's better to just watch the highlights or want you're interested after rather than watching the show live.

The details come from Sepide Donne at FromSoftware in an interview with Zoomg: https://www.zoomg.ir/2018/6/8/275995/fromsoftware-consept-artist-interview/
The interview is NOT in English, but here's the key points (thanks to Toolifercle for the details, Google Translate for me cross-checking things).
-Shadows Die Twice is still soulsborne-esque in ways, buuut with totally different gameplay and theme, but they cannot say anymore right now on the specifics.
-They say the story is deep and fantastic.
-They're going to show us the actual gameplay this week. It's fresh and again, totally different from Dark Souls.
-They are working on 3 projects right now. Shadows Die Twice, a new VR game (which will be announced this week as well), and an unannounced game.
-The wish to release one game in a year as their target for releasing their games right now.
It's not much and we'll see two of these games very soon, but as the first 'official' word since reveal for Shadows Die Twice I thought it might be topic worthy.
