From what little I've heard of the story, the game's actual setting is the near future. The dungeons you play in are what can really only be described as "memory dives" on inanimate objects. Think Assassin's Creed except the memories are of items and not genetic ancestry.

I really don't bother about the F2P... Warframe is my most played game on PS4.

Funny thing is that Bloodborne has been described as a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls but if you didn't know what this game was called or who was making it you'd swear it was Demon's Souls 2.
