Hard to tell if this is good or not. Despite the supply issues last year this is still down in HW. 20M seems like a very difficult task now, they're basically banking on Smash and Pokemon going crazy.

On the profit side, the beat expectations by a fair amount and investors are very happy, so I guess its a good quarter overall.

It's a toss up if Smash will sell more hardware. I'll assume the majority of Smash players bought a Switch already. Pokémon is a different story.

Software and Profits are great. Switch down by expected and not by a lot.

Mario Tennis Aces did 1.4 Million in a week....what the hell.

I guess that's your number 1 game in June NPD.

Switch is out of it's anything is possible phase but that's still pretty great. Hopefully it'll be back up next year.

Stock went up since Profits were up substantially and higher than expectations.

It's kinda crazy how well the softwares is doing. Series that weren't as big on past consoles are breaking out(Kirby, Mario Tennis)

Yeah its a strange one, people are just buying up the Nintendo games so much more than previous gens. I can't really think why there's such an uptick.

Like Mario Tennis of all games may be number 1 on NPD tomorrow(Mat moved it to tomorrow). It's at 1.1 Million in the West and presumably most of that is NA. It may have done a debut similar to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe....in a week...

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe debut was 460k right? That might be tough, considering that 1.1m is shipped + digital. I think 300-350k in NPD is most likely. Still, quite impressive.

I'm leaning towards 350k so we will see tomorrow. It having a very good debut on NPD is basically assured now.Especially if it's going for only two weeks.

Probably because it's their most "core" system since the gamecube. It's selling great like the Wii but unlike the Wii it's mostly Nintendo fans buying it. (Or soon to be Nintendo fans)

So basically the software selling power of the GameCube with the hardware selling power of the Wii? Seems to work.
