So Quest is the weird new spin-off Switch mobile game.

Lets Go games are the new Switch mainline games.

Go integration:

Catch pokemon on the go app in the real world then transfer them onto your switch game! Catch pokemon in the game by flicking your joycon and aiming like in Go!

You can store your pokemon in a pokeball accessory and take them out!

Updated the OP with details. Okay this is great. I know the lets go games are weird but they're good enough for me for now. Also the proper game is coming next year, which is fantastic. If it came out this year I was worried that it would have been rushed and wouldn't be ready. But they're taking their time with it and releasing this interesting remake instead.

Pokemon quest seems like a fun little game, I'll need to check it out.

Yeah, its an interesting experiment and something fun and different.

The 'core' pokemon they confirmed a while ago wasn't referring to this apparently, its next years game. So further confirming they've been working on that one with most of their efforts, and this is just a little something while we wait, for those who want it.
