Hello Games will release the version 1.3 update for No Man's Sky this week, the developer said in an e-mail to users following a recent augmented reality game it ran.

The update, dubbed "Atlas Rises," focuses on improving the central story of No Man's Sky and adds the ability to quick travel between locations using portals.

Wonder if the game is actually worth buying now after all the updates and stuff.

Legend

Yeah we talked about it in the other thread.

Also probably adds a fourth alien race and new ships to go along with them.

If you wouldn't have enjoyed the game at release, you wouldn't enjoy the game now. The two updates have mostly only made surface level changes. The core gameplay loop is largely unchanged. Plus I wouldn't recommend giving them money and supporting their business practices.

Well I was interested in it for the longest of time especially after the PC ver was announced.

But decided not to after hearing about what the dev/pubs did.

I'm still gonna get it but only when its super cheap on Steam.

I'm in a similar boat. The PC issues forced me to miss out at launch and now that there's no rush, I'm just waiting till the situation changes.

I really love space games.

Me too, thats the main reason why I wanted the game. Anything space related I get interest in it...unless its a MMO......like a certain game >.>.

I was just listing all the MMO space games I could think of.

Elite Dangerous is by far the best at capturing the magic of space, at least that I've experienced. It's cold and empty and that's awesome. I loved going into the game knowing nothing and exploring as if it didn't have limitations.

Star Citizen might have some troubles, but if they pull it off you really should give it a shot.

Dual Universe is a more NMS type space game, but with every single player playing online in the same instance.

Yeah Eve isn't my cup of tea either.

Did you like Star Fox Adventures? ::)

Yes.

That was my first Star Fox experience to be honest.

Wish they would make more games like it , loved how it was like Zelda but in a space/dinosaur type of theme.

Sounds about the same as the past two updates in terms of size, unless the story is huge.

Actually super excited to try it out once it releases!  Hopefully the overhauled story is at least a step in the right direction and hope the procedural missions are not too boring and the same over and over.

Yeah I want to see how they handle the missions. Elite does it in a pretty simple way so I wonder how this will compare.

edt:

Haha like a 1 to 1 copy of Elite. Just missing a bit more numbers.

edt2: hahaha this rips so much off from elite.

Not sure what to think about this.

Supposedly they were taken from their website
