A brand new intellectual property (IP) from Epic Games has been revealed at Oculus Connect 2 in Hollywood, California today. A virtual reality (VR) exclusive experience, Bullet Train is an internally developed videogame designed for use with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) and Oculus Touch motion-controllers.

Playable at Oculus Connect 2 this week, Bullet Train is a science-fiction themed first-person shooter (FPS) experience in which the player has to take on an overwhelming number of foes situated at a train station. Pistols, shotguns, assault rifles and grenades will help the player thin the enemy numbers, but the videogame's teleportation mechanic will help you out of any tight spots in a hurry.

When teleporting, time slows and the player is able to move across vast distances in the blink of an eye. Furthermore, while in slow-motion the player has a significant advantage, able to pluck bullets right out of the air and throw them back at enemy troops with an astounding velocity. Bullet Train is a unique VR experience designed to offer a high-octane action playground, with a visual quality running at 90 frames-per-second. The experience is of course developed using the company's own Unreal Engine 4, which hundreds of developers around the world are also using to bring their VR titles to life.

No details about Bullet Train appearances at other shows outside of Oculus Connect 2 have yet been revealed, However Epic Games' Oculus Connect demo from last year, Showdown was taken to a number of different events before recently being offered as a free download. VRFocus will of course keep you updated with the future of Bullet Train, as well as bringing you a hands-on report in the very near future.
So good looking!

Sucks that now I'm not sure whether to get OR or Vive :(
