Sega has delayed the PC version of Sonic Mania from its previously planned August 15 release date to August 29 in order to apply further optimizations, the company announced.
As an apology for delaying the PC release at the last minute, all users who have pre-purchased Sonic Mania will receive the original Sonic the Hedgehog for free.
As for users who purchased the collector's edition, you will still receive your box on August 15, and the code inside will allow you to claim your copy of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Along with that Sonic 1 for free, like who the hell doesnt have that especially when you can get Sonic 1 alongside 40+ games for $5 off Amazon or any other store for Steam.
Edit: Optimization for SEGA means implementation of Denuvo which likely wont last long.
