I really like Mushroom Wars. It's a fun and simple RTS and it's enjoyable even with a controller.
But it has one mechanic that I absolutely hate. Morale. Morale gives you a bonus with attack and defense. You get Morale by basically winning. Either by defending one of your bases or by beating someone else's.
The issue here is that it's basically giving the player higher attack because they are winning. Imagine you are playing a game, and the NPC is beating you down. Then the game awards them higher attack because of that.
There are some games where mechanics like that are fine. But in Mushroom Wars, it just feels frustrating.
Even CoD has killstreak bonuses, but you are usually easily able to avoid being killed by those. And here you don't really.
