Facebook uses microphone data for targeted ads?

I don't think they are doing this and the company is denying it, but it's almost scary how good ad targeting can be even without using a microphone.

I watch ads closely from this website and notice it all the time. IE I search vacation tickets on my mom's computer and then start getting ads on my phone for the same location. I also started getting battery ads on my phone right after I noticed the battery was wearing out.

Haha yep.  It's super weird.  

I use different browsers for Facebook, and everything else.  It's a bit weird, because I really wonder how much data FB can get from a PC. Sometimes I see things I looked at on Amazon on a different browser on a FB ad.  That's not super hard with a lot of that stuff.

But like you said, starting to see ads on other devices is just weird.

I thought I remembered something where FB knew someone was pregnant before they did.  


I think I also remember a GAf thread about someone having a discussion about something out loud and they started getting ads for it shortly after.
