Leveling up won't help you against what keeps killing you. The best way to learn is work out their weaknesses and the best way to exploit them.Leveling up helps a lot by adding more health. I played like Pi and just tanked damage cause I was op.
What difficulty are you on?
Never used anything beyond fire arrows and explosion tripcaster for damage.
