My guess is going forward they are gonna focus on PS4 for western sales and Switch for eastern sales. The audience overlap on the two consoles is huge so Capcom be sweating at the possible sales between the two lol.

They should never had made Monster Hunter 4 3DS exclusive in the first place.

Dr. Pezus

Correction: Star Wars Battlefront II sold in over 7 million units, not 9. | ResetEra

Yesterday the Wall Street Journal reported that Star Wars Battlefront II had sold in 9 million units, falling 1 million units short of its 10 million target. They also noted that Star Wars Battlefront II had a 37% digital share. For some reason, both numbers were completely incorrect. I'm not quite sure how the Wall Street Journal was so wrong. But whatever. The official EA transcript states the following.
Quote
Net bookings for the quarter were $29 million below our guidance, driven by lower-than-expected sales of Star Wars Battlefront II. For Q3, we had expected to sell in about 8 million units, but we fell short of that by less than 1 million units. However, this shortfall was significantly offset by an excellent performance from our live services.Click to expand...
http://files.shareholder.com/downlo...592-40A45B0D59C7/Q3_FY18_Prepared_Remarks.pdf Thus the game actually sold in 7 million units. The digital share for the game was actually 28% too. As a reference, the original Battlefront sold in 13 million units in roughly the same period and had a digital share of 16%. The decline seen in Star Wars Battlefront II sales was primarily due to the backlash that the game received at the end of last year due to loot boxes being tied to in game progression. It is worth noting that EA disabled that system in game but always planned to reintroduce it, after they had tweaked it to be more accepted by consumers, in the future. That being said, EA still had a strong quarter, driven by the continued success of live services such as its Ultimate Team product which helped offset the declines seen by Battlefront II.

Good news!

Battlefront 2 sold only 7 million units, compared to Battlefront's 13 million in its first quarter. I feel like that's a pretty big impact!

Mario Odyssey outsold it by 2 Million on 1 platform  ;D
