Non of this screams must see or much less must own to me. And the thing that'd be closest to that (the Scorpio) has no reason to be announced at this show anyway.Don't be so jaded. Trainwrecks are must see events.

Don't be so jaded. Trainwrecks are must see events.Comparing them is an insult to trainwrecks.
It'll be a must see if they show a bunch of new and exciting games that we aren't made to wait a year or more to get any real info on or more than a CGI trailer. Not sure how great it will be, nor how new it will feel, to show a more powerful version of the console that is a year and a half away, with an unknown price tag, a $600 VR headset, and none of its own actual exclusive titles. It's E3. Of course there will be almost nothing but trailers for games not coming all that soon.

It's E3. Of course there will be almost nothing but trailers for games not coming all that soon.Eh, don't know. Entirely new consoles (aka new generations), sure. Those are always accompanied by new games that you'll only be able to play on those systems after all. But slim lines of systems I already own or media streaming sticks? Meh, those don't excite me.

And why would it be must own, we know nothing about it.

But slim lines of systems I already own or media streaming sticks? Meh, those don't excite me.What strikes a weird chord with me is that based on the power difference between the XB1 and the Scorpio, the latter may as well be a new console. However, it looks like it's going to be treated as an iteration.
So this popped up in the other Xbox VR Thread and this is pretty interesting. While its by no means a confirmation of anything, it does seem odd that the ESA would go out of their way to add a catagory and that several companies would outright register their product as such if there was no VR solution coming. The list so far are Rebellionhttp://pr311jm731.mapyourshow.com/6_...ExhID=reb2201# Maximum Gameshttp://pr311jm731.mapyourshow.com/6_...ExhID=max5186# Readily Information Companyhttp://pr311jm731.mapyourshow.com/6_...ExhID=rea3957# And 3DRudderhttp://pr311jm731.mapyourshow.com/6_...?ExhID=tdr4931 Thanks to NeoGAF user 00ich who found these. Thought it was deserving of its own thread as it does seem to add a little bit more fuel to the fire that some sort of VR implementation is being announced at E3 for Xbox Hardware.
