"She was meant to be a one-off character": Bruce Timm Can't Believe 1 Original Batman: TAS Villainess Got So Popular Even Men Started Dressing up as Her

So apparently, Harley Quinn was supposed to be just a random one-off character for the Batman Animated Series.

I thought this was a little funny to read, as she's now probably one of DCs most popular characters.

Legend

Yeah at this point I think she's more popular than the joker.

The Better Call Saul blu-ray picture quality is pretty incredible.

Watching the first episode of The Wire and it's not as good.

Monk is on Netflix. Not that I need it, but it's a much higher quality version than the peacock version.

Peacock was definitely SD, Netflix is HD. Although I don't know that it's the same remaster as the Kino Lorber ones that are being put on Blu-ray.

Very curiously, I just found out that the Netflix one accidentally includes a deleted scene in the second episode. The scene breaks the episode. But I'm assuming that means that someone else did the remaster. Because the scene does not appear to be included in the Kino Lorber season 1, either in the episode or as a special feature.

I wish Hulu was hd streaming. Shogun has such a poor bitrate at times.

Anyway I'm halfway through the Fallout tv show. It's good but not great.

I may have just bought 4 different 4K collections of BBC documentaries narrated by David Attenborough.

So I now have 5 4k "TV series"

Legend

Finished Fallout.

Kinda sucked with its later reveals but the main cast was great. Nails the feeling of the world too.

Shocked it has great ratings because it's much closer to Halo than tlou imo, but it's awesome how well video game tv shows are doing.

Supposedly Ted Lasso is getting a blu-ray release. Not confirmed and I haven't seen the series, but that's neat.

I almost feel like Warner Bros is treating physical media buyers better than they treat streaming subscribers.
I think they've removed a good 100+ movies and tv shows from Max. While they're releasing a bunch of stuff physically.

Movies and shows I'm looking forward to:
Scooby-doo on Zombie Island: May 7th
Monk Season 6: May 8th
Dune Part Two: May 14th
Bluey Season 3: May 28th
Monk Season 7: May 28th
Monk Season 8: June 18th
Columbo Part 2: Summer
Succession: TBA
The Boy and the Heron: TBA

Ted Lasso is fun. Does Apple normally do disc releases?

I'm not aware of them doing so. I'm assuming it's because Warner Bros is the production company.

Some speculation I saw was that Apple had a year of exclusivity and we are coming up to a year after the show finished.
