So for a while I wasn't using my VR headset. Then I got the controllers for it, and I've been using it quite a bit since.
The crazy thing is, that using it actually has made more excited for VR. It's not something that I'm blindly getting hyped for. It's actually using it and experiencing it that is making me more excited.
There's a lot of cons here. The controllers could be improved. It's really low resolution. The tracking could be expanded over a wide area, etc.
But there's a lot of incredible experiences.
VR is being teleported to space with a magic monitor that changes size and location at will. And being able to tell the difference between a small monitor close by and a large monitor that's far away.
VR is being able to interact with the world differently than you can normally.

VR is shaking because those zombies are way too realistic.
VR is getting nervous because that alien you're looking at is way too close to your personal space.
It's incredible to be able to look up and see the stars. Feel like they are actually there.
Or look up and see the ceiling and it's not the one in your house.
It's incredible to get down on your knees so you can try to read a sign that's otherwise too low for you.
It's incredible to be able to place buildings with your bare hands.
It's just all the little things that make VR completely incredible.
