Title: Your top publishers so far this Gen
Post by: BananaKing on Jul 10, 2018, 08:38 PM
Who are your top publisher's this gen? No, not your favourite. The criteria here is the one that matters most. Certainly not your opinion, but your money. So who are you top publishers?

PS+/Xbox live/EA pass or what ever games from subscription don't count unless you played then got over 10 hours, or completed the game.

Bundled games count as they are an actual sale. Stand alone DLC don't count an example would be infamous first light

For me it's this

First place Sony Interactive Entertainment with 8 Games

1- Killzone Shadow fall (physical)
2- Infamous Second Son (physical)
3- Bloodborne (Digital)
4- Until Dawn (Digital)
5- Uncharted 4 (physical)
6- Horizon Zero Dawn (physical)
7- Ratchet and Clank (Digital Ps+)
8- The Order 1886 (Physical)

God of War, TLoU2, Detroit and Days Gone will certainly be on this list as well. Death Stranding most likely (if it's not a walking simulator lol) Spidey maybe. Ghost of Tutshima is a slight chance if it's gameplay doesn't suck. So yeah overall Sony has been really good to me this gen lol

Second place Ubisoft with

1- Farcry 4 (physical)
2- Farcry Primal (physical)
3- For Honor (physical)
4- Assassin's Creed Origins (physical)
5- The Division (Digital)

I also plan on getting Skull and Bones, South Park fractured but whole, AC odyssey (most likely), and maybe The Division 2 and Farcry 5. So yeah ubi is awesome as well.

Third place is ... Shame... I mean EA
1- Battlefield 1
2- Need for Speed
3- Titanfall 2
4- Mass Effect Andromeda

I'm actually surprised EA is number 3 for me, but I will note that I bought all these on huge discounts. Not one game was above 30 bucks. And 3 games were actually under 20

Fourth place Bathesda with 2 games

1- Wolfenstein the new order
2- Doom

I'll be getting Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein 2 and fallout 4 to add to that list .

2-Pikmin 3
3-DK Tropical Freeze
4-Super Mario 3D World
5-Captain Toad
6-Pokemon Moon
7-Super Mario 3D Land

EA
1-Need for Speed Rivals
2-Titanfall (pc)
3-Titanfall 2
4-Mass Effect Andromeda
5-Destiny (twice)
6-Destiny 2

I'm leaving out gifts and all "free" games.

1. EA, 14 games:
Madden 15 (PS4 & Xbox One)
Madden 16 (PS4 & Xbox One)
Madden 17 (PS4 & Xbox One)
Madden 18 (PS4 & Xbox One)
GOTG Titanfall
Titanfall 2
Peggle 2
PvZ GW
PvZ GW2
Battlefield 1

2. Microsoft, which surprised me. I've bought more MS games than I remember, 13 games.
State of Decay 2
Crackdown (BC)
Ori (and the DE, not counting it though, $5 upgrade IIRC)
ReCore
Quantum Break
Dead Rising 3
Ryse
Kinect Rivals
Horizon 3
Cuphead (my 6 year old has mastered this game and is actually playing beside me right now)
Minecraft
PUBG
Rare Replay

3. Ubisoft, 11 games. Mostly family stuff, board game type things. And in Ubi fashion, they managed to screw up stuff like Monopoly and Tetris. Tetris!
Tetris
Monopoly Plus
Monopoly Deal
Trials Fusion
Trivial Pursuit Live
For Honor (one of my worst purchases this gen)
Watch Dogs (probably the worst)
Child of Light
Rainbow Six
Division
Far Cry 5

I did manage to snag a couple Sega games, Crazy Taxi (BC) and Tembo the Badass Elephant.

Sony IIRC I have bought 4 games, including the Last of Us that was bundled with my GTA V PS4. Plus GoW, Horizon, and #Driveclub.

In terms of publishers whose games I have enjoyed most, or spent the most time playing their games, it would probably be this, in no order:

2k Games, I bought both Evolve and Battleborn on both consoles. Played them both on Xbox One for hundreds of hours each. PS4 a decent chunk of time but a lot less.

Bethesda. Played lots of their games, they've pretty much been good every time I get one of their games.

Starbreeze. Dead by Daylight is my most played game ever. Over 1,000 hours and counting.

Do you literally not have any other PS4 games, or is there a different reason Konami is the only other listed publisher?

Cause you don't like multiplats!  :o

Cuphead (my 6 year old has mastered this game and is actually playing beside me right now)
Cuphead is self published so I don't think that can financially count for MS.

I've yet to play cuphead but everyone talks about it being really hard so that's impressive!

Primarily I bought them on PC.
Watch Dogs, The Witcher 3, Titanfall, Far Cry 4 and others I got all on PC.

My siblings bought some other PS4 games, but I believe that's all I have.

Probably a big reason why I feel like PS4 hasn't been as good as PS3.

I never realised how pc focused you were. Wow

Lol.
Well I thought it would be good to get games for it, since I spent so much on a nice PC.

Also held back from buying various multiplats like Fallout because I was planning to get them on PC.

Geurilla isn't a publisher.
